Discover Calm in Just Three Sessions
-
This 90-minute family session—available in person or virtually—is designed as a comprehensive Discovery Session to uncover the daily habits, routines, and behaviors that shape your child’s life. Together, we’ll explore your child’s morning routine, school experience, after-school activities, and evening/bedtime structure, all within the context of your family’s unique rhythm.
Dr. Rivet will gather detailed insights into your child’s day—from wake-up to bedtime—to better understand how individual behaviors fit within the broader family dynamic. The goal is to identify not just what’s happening, but how to bring more calm, clarity, and confidence to your household’s daily flow.
With your approval, Dr. Rivet will also administer a Teacher Questionnaire to gain deeper insight into your child’s behavior and habits during school hours.
Following this session, Dr. Rivet will thoughtfully review all gathered data and begin crafting a customized action plan—one that fosters calm and empowers both your child and family with renewed structure and connection.
-
This 90-minute family session—offered in person or virtually—is designed to review and reflect on the findings from the initial Discovery Session, along with insights gathered from your child’s teacher (with prior approval).
During this session, Dr. Rivet will work closely with your family to identify opportunities to create a supportive environment and daily routines that foster your child’s growth while cultivating a greater sense of calm throughout the household.
Dr. Rivet will present personalized Recommendations tailored to your child’s needs and your family’s unique dynamic. These suggestions will address each part of the day—morning, school, after-school, and evening—with attention to structure, pacing, designated homework time and space, and intentional opportunities for connection.
Finally, Dr. Rivet will help your family build consensus around these strategies, guiding you toward a shared Family Agreement. This agreement becomes a roadmap for calm, cooperation, and consistency—where everyone knows what to expect and feels invested in the process.
-
This 90-minute session brings clarity and commitment to the work you’ve done so far. Together, we will revisit the challenges identified, refine the proposed solutions, and finalize your family’s personalized agreement.
In this third session, we formalize the Family Agreement discussed previously, ensuring that it is realistic, sustainable, and designed to support long-term success and calm within the household.
Each family member will sign the agreement, signaling their commitment to the shared goals, routines, and responsibilities outlined. This step reinforces a sense of ownership, accountability, and unity.
We’ll also take time to discuss whether ongoing support would be helpful, and, if so, outline what future sessions might include—always tailored to your family's evolving needs.
ONGOING SESSIONS
Many families choose to continue with ongoing support after the initial three sessions. These follow-up sessions are thoughtfully tailored to address the specific needs, goals, and challenges of the child and family.
